AMEG LODGE KILIMANJARO

The Lodge is based at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and set in a 4.5 acre area. It has been constructed with local Tanzanian building materials and designed to combine antique African and modern contemporary styles creating an articulate and seductive ambiance. Frangipani and palm trees adorn the grounds amidst a variety of colourful tropical plants. There are 20 bedrooms, all en-suite, with twin and double beds. Marangu Hotel

This beautifully designed hotel, on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, stands in twelve acres of mature, well laid out gardens. It has a fine variety of exotic trees and flowering shrubs. From the gardens there are magnificent views to be had of Kilimanjaro, with its larger peaks of ice-capped Kibo and rocky Mawenzi. Guest accommodation is provided in cottages around the grounds. The cottages are of varied style, and each has its own character. Several cottages have integral central sitting rooms, which are popular with small groups travelling together.
