Kijani House Hotel: In the village of Shela, in the island of Lamu, Kijani
House offers a unique accommodation with its 2000 sq. metres
of tropical garden, wich leads directly to the sea, and two
fresh water swimming pools. Each room has a bathroom and has
its own balcony or veranda facing the garden and the sea.
The rooms are spread throughout the garden into three small
seperate traditional Swahili buildings which formerly were
private homes, made of coral walls, with boriti ceiling and
makuti roofs.

Lamu
Palace Hotel:
Located within Lamu Island, a small romantic town of rich
Arabic influence, Lamu Palace Hotel is fairly new hotel and
is located on the waterfront. Its main advantage other than
its scenic view and Lamu-style decor, is its close proxmity
to downtown Lamu. All of the 22 rooms within the hotel are
airconditioned and advantageously placed with a rich Lamu
feel. The two restaurants at Lamu Palace Hotel, roof top and
spacious terrace restaurants, have extensive menus with a
wide variety of dishes and seafood-specialitites.

The
Baytil Ajaib Hotel is one of the most famous hotels on the island with many articles
having been written about it. One of the finest examples of
the remaining townhouses built by the rich Arab traders on
Lamu. There are just 4 options, 2 large rooms and 2 suites
with either a verandah or an open courtyard on each floor.
Baytil Ajaib Hotel offers two double apartments and two
double suites. All apartments and suites have their own
private bathrooms. There are also scattered seating
arrangements in Baytil Ajaib for those that may want to curl
up and read in some other part of the house. Baytil Ajaib
provides a full board service which is flexible and for
those who want to get in on the action they can help arrange
the menu. The dining hall is on the ground floor. And of
course for those who can’t quite make it to the breakfast
table, can have it served in their room.

Jannat
House Hotel:
Located at the island of Lamu, 2 degrees south of the
equator along Kenya's coast, you will find Jannat House. The
house dates from the 18th century and was originally built
as a merchant´s house, although today it has modern style
upper floors. It is built in original Swahili style with
typical furniture's and situated in the old town of Lamu.
Beaches are not far away. The hotel has no air-condition, as
the soothing wind from the Indian ocean is quite effective.
There are cold and warm water (not hot as we try to use
natural energy sources only). The house has 16 rooms and 35
beds mostly double rooms. It boasts a dining room, pool, bar
and five terraces, some with an astonishing sea view. The
chef cooks the most delicious dishes including Lamu seafood
specialties such as fish, crab, shrimps and lobster.

Kiwayu
Safari Village:
Nestled amongst the mainland dunes, about 30 miles north of
Lamu Island the oasis of Kiwayu Safari Village overlooks a
sheltered lagoon to the north of Kiwayu Island . Boasting
total seclusion, visited only by fishermen and dhows,
accommodation consists of thatched bandas/cottages which
blend into the dunes. Cuisine centers around fresh catches
of fish, excellent seafood. The theme of Kiwayu Safari
Village is informality. Each hammock-strung verandah offers
total privacy and panoramic views over the lagoon. The
dining-room and bar are also built in the local Bajuni
tradition with palm-thatched roofs and woven matting floors.
Each of the 18 bandas is within easy reach of the water's
